Helping animals affected by Taal eruption, the College of Veterinary Medicine and Bio-Medical Sciences joined an inter-agency vet mission conducted last January 18.

Faculty members Dr. Melbourne Talactac, Dr. Rhoda Baquiran and Dr. Loren Borja assisted in the said activity, together with 30 students of the said college. An estimate of 64 horses and 100 dogs and cats were given free check-up and medication including bathing to remove hardened soil. The said vet mission was conducted in a horse farm in Brgy. Zambat, Tagaytay City and a cat and dog shelter in Brgy. Cabulusan, Magallanes.
Before the actual activity, an inter-agency meeting for the vet mission was held last January 15 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Bldg and was attended by the Cavite provincial vet, CvSU-CVMBS, Cavite Veterinary Medical Association, representatives of LGUs and other stakeholders.
