With the goal of developing new partnerships with international education institutions and strengthening international collaboration, CvSU joined the delegation of the Philippine Higher Education Partnership Mission to Canada to participate in the British Columbia International Education Week (BCIEW) sessions and visit selected Canadian education institutions from 22 June to 01 July 2022.

Director for International and Local Collaboration and Linkages Office (ILCLO) Prof. Mariel Mojica-Lising, along with other international relations officers, engaged in activities and workshops organized by the British Columbia Council for International Education (BCCIE) for all the higher education institutions (HEIs) present in the program. Talks on the alliance of Philippine HEIs with BCCIE and strategies of Canadian institutions were also explored.

Headed by CHED Commissioner Dr. Aldrin Darilag with CHED International Affairs Staff Director Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla, and Canadian Embassy to the Philippines Trade Commissioner Angel Cachuela, a total of sixteen (16) HEI-members of the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) in the Philippines composed the CHED-partnership mission. The event allowed the International Relations Officers (IROs) to learn the best practices of Canadian HEIs for the improvement of Philippine education in various fields, build new contacts, showcase the Philippine universities, gather intelligence on international education, and develop new global affiliations.
