Cresino presents survey results on OFC of CvSU

Dr. Nelia C. Cresino, Gender and Development (GAD) director, this University, presented the results of the survey conducted on Overseas Filipino Children (OFC) of Cavite State University (CvSU), during the 1st Quarter Meeting of the Committee on Migration and Development, held at the RDC Conference Room, NEDA Region IV-A, Calamba City, Laguna, 19 January.

“This is one of the initiatives of the Committee on Migration and Development (CMD), to generate migration data for research and to come up with policy recommendations”, Cresino said. In this line, CMD supported the collection of information on the children of overseas Filipinos in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs). A survey instrument was developed by CvSU in 2016 and was disseminated to SUCs in the Region for the conduct of their own studies, thus these SUCs, especially in CALABARZON will be required to present the results of their study on migration including the Department of Education.
