Aside from donation drive, the College of Arts and Sciences spearheaded a Psychological First Aid Orientation and Training to equip volunteers in providing counseling to the evacuees affected by Taal eruption. More than 160 students, faculty and staff from the University system participated in the said training conducted last January 21 and 23.

Dr. Paul Hilario and Dr. Cecilia Banaag trained the participants on how to prepare themselves as they help others in times of crisis. They also emphasized the importance of proper listening allowing evacuees to share their thoughts without interrupting them with too much questions.
