Representatives from the provincial and municipal agriculturist offices of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal attended the Adaptive Capacity Consultation Workshop at Hostel Tropicana on February 18-19, 2020.
The activity is the third among the series of workshops being conducted for the Climate Risk Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) study of the said provinces, which is a collaborative project with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office IVA. CRVA is under the umbrella of the Department of Agriculture project “Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture” (AMIA), which aims to establish climate-resilient agri-fisheries communities and build appropriate climate responsive financial and other support services.
The project is headed by Dr. David L. Cero, dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT), and composed of members from the College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources (CAFENR): Dr. Analita M. Magsino, Ms. Jo-an T. Ducducan, and Ms. Amyel Dale L. Cero.
Consultants from the Geographic Innovations for Development Solutions, Inc. (GRIDS), headed by Mr. Milben Bragais, served as the resource persons of the workshop. (ADCero)
