In response to COVID-19, CvSU-Cavite City faculty and staff extended kindness to over 400 households, including fisherfolks of Barangay 61-A Talong, Cavite City.

Aside from donations for the frontliners at the Philippine General Hospital, the campus’ NSTP program spearheaded the distribution of food to those on duty at several checkpoints in Cavite City and Noveleta.

The Department of Management, in collaboration with the Junior Marketing Association of Cavite City, gave food packs and cash donations to selected students and their families. It also partnered with Garita Elementary School in distributing food to the barangay officials of Brgy. 55-Ampalaya.

Meanwhile, faculty members of the Departments of Information and Technology, Teacher Education and Languages, and Arts and Sciences, were also active in assisting their respective communities.

Campus Administrator Ms. Maria Cristina J. Baesa who personally donated homemade disinfectants to 245 households in several barangays, emphasized that this is an opportunity for CvSU family to practically embody the virtue of service being considered as one of the insitution’s core values.

Ang inyo pong handog ay napakalaking tulong po sa aming mga napiling residente. Maraming marami pong salamat sa mga sponsors ninyo. Huwag po sana kayong magsasawang tumulong,” one of the beneficiaries said while expressing gratitude for the assistance received. (JJangad)
