Aimed to capacitate new Gender and Development coordinators by delving into Cavite State University’s (CvSU) best practices on sustainable programs, research projects, linkages, and mainstreaming practices, the Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) Center for Equity, Inclusivity, and Diversity (CEID) visited CvSU on December 5, 2023.

Sharing of CvSU’s Best Practices

The CNSC CEID sought to leverage the collective experience of CvSU’s GADRC to enhance their own initiatives. Ms. Maria Czarina P. Sioco, In-Charge for Data Banking and Publication of GADRC, highlighted CvSU’s achievements in gender mainstreaming, emphasizing the four (4) entry points of the evaluation framework. She noted that CvSU has successfully implemented sustainable programs that promote gender equality and inclusivity, fostering a dynamic and supportive environment.

Ms. Sioco added that the institutions have established robust linkages and partnerships that amplify impacts of gender and development initiatives, showcasing the importance of collaborative efforts. She emphasized how the unwavering support from the top management led to the University’s remarkable achievement as a four-time recipient of the Most Outstanding State University in GAD Implementation in Calabarzon.

The delegation from the CEID expressed gratitude for the valuable insights gained, with a determination to implement these newfound practices within their own center. (MCPSioco)
