Three Cavite State University (CvSU) faculty members will represent the University in separate international training courses in Thailand and Australia this year. 

Dr. Bettina Joyce P. Ilagan, Dean of the Graduate School and Open Learning College, and Dr. Rhodora S. Crizaldo, University Designated Faculty Researcher and Associate Professor V, are among the official participants to the 2024 Leadership Development Program for Higher Education Institutions (LDP-HEIs) in Southeast Asia. 

Co-organized by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and The HEAD Foundation, this regional learning event aims to build the capacities of Southeast Asian higher education institution (HEI) leaders with the relevant skills and knowledge needed to effectively lead thriving and resilient universities in the region. It will run in hybrid mode from March to July 2024, with participants convening in Thailand in May 2024 for the pitching and refinement of their Re-Entry Action Plan (REAP), site visits, and lectures.  

Meanwhile, Dr. Jake Raymund F. Fabregar, Chairperson of the College of Education – Teacher Education Department, is a grantee of Aus4ASEAN Digital Transformation and Future Skills Initiative Short Course offered by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 

The two-week short course to be delivered in Australia from April 29 to May 12, 2024, is designed for ASEAN citizens working in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and skills development. The course aims to facilitate an exchange on improving TVET systems, policies, and programs, including between Aus4ASEAN Short Course alumni cohorts. While in Australia, Dr. Fabregar will have an opportunity to connect with Australian government agencies and TVET training providers that are incorporating new technology into TVET training.
