The Cavite State University (CvSU) community gathered to show their support to the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) with the 2024 theme “VAW Bigyang-Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!”
The kickoff ceremony on November 25, 2024 highlighted a parade, street dance competition, and Pledge of Commitment to End VAW by CvSU officials, faculty members, employees, and students from different units, offices, colleges, and campuses.
Under the recurring theme for 2022-2027, “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines,” the 18-day campaign is being observed from November 25 to December 12 of every year. For this year, the campaign highlights the urgency of the advocacy in line with the commemoration of the 20th year since the signing of the Anti-VAWC Act of 2004 (Republic Act No. 9262).
