Cavite State University joined the recently concluded State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Fair 2022 held at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Music Hall, Pasay City to showcase Don Severino’s Aguinaldo Blend Coffee, kaong, and bee products among others.

With the theme “Promoting Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Culture & Arts for National Development and Global Competitiveness”, a total of 81 SUCs from different regions in the country joined the event to highlight their sustained excellence, unified efforts, and competitive standards in the forms of research products and innovations, exhibits, artistic competition, and cultural presentations, among others.

Plenary talks were also held on the first two days of the activity in which topics such as Entrepreneurship and Product Innovation were discussed by Dr. Carl E. Balita, chairperson of the CEB Group of Companies, and Dr. Napoleon K. Juanillo Jr., assistant secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry, respectively. They were also able to taste the flagship product of CvSU, the Don Severino’s Aguinaldo Blend Coffee.

Dr. J. Prospero “Popoy” E. De Vera III, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) chairperson; Hon. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, majority leader and incoming speaker at the House of Representatives; Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) president; and Dr. Bert J. Tuga, PNU president and PASUC-National Capital Region (NCR) chairperson also graced the opening program of SUC Fair 2022.

CvSU officials headed by Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, officer-in-charge at the Office of the University President showed their support by visiting the different regional booths especially the Region IV CALABARZON stall.

The fair was conducted as part of the 28th founding anniversary celebration of CHED and the 2nd National Higher Education Day with the PASUC-NCR as the host, and Philippine Normal University (PNU), as the lead institution. (CMGRafols)
