Cavite State University (CvSU) Laboratory Science High Schools (LSHS) in its Main, Naic, CCAT (Rosario), and Silang campuses are among the top five performing private schools in the Province of Cavite in the SY 2022-2023 National Achievement Test (NAT) for Grades 10 (G10) and 12 (G12).
For NATG10 – Problem Solving Skills, CvSU Silang Campus LSHS ranked first, CvSU Main Campus LSHS at second, CvSU CCAT Campus LSHS at fourth, and CvSU Naic Campus LSHS at fifth.
CvSU Main Campus LSHS topped NATG10 – Information Literacy Skills, followed by CvSU Silang Campus LSHS, CvSU Naic Campus LSHS, and CvSU CCAT LSHS.
Meanwhile, CvSU Main Campus placed first, CvSU Naic Campus LSHS at third, CvSU Silang Campus LSHS at fourth, and CvSU CCAT Campus LSHS at fifth in the NATG10 – Critical Thinking Skills.
With regard to NATG12, CvSU Main Campus LSHS registered the highest percentage scores on Problem Solving, Information Literacy, and Critical Thinking Skills.
As one of the “exit assessments” under the national assessment framework of the K to 12 Basic Education Program, NATG10 and NATG12 are administered to enrolled learners in public and private schools through paper-based modality.
This assessment is designed to determine if the learners are “meeting the learning standards” in the junior and senior high school curricula. It covers 21st-century skills (problem solving, information literacy, and critical thinking) and curriculum core learning areas including Languages, Humanities, Communication, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Philosophy.
