GAD Resource Center sponsored a seminar on “Building Self-Esteem” among six male and 24 female members of Indang Association of Persons with Disability (IAPWDI) on February 15, 2019 at the Persons with Disability Affairs Office. This activity is part of the Extension Program of the GAD-RC.
Dr. Cecilia B. Banaag, Dean of the College of Education, served as resource speaker on “Building Self-Esteem” and helped the participants address the challenges they are facing.
Dr. Banaag asked the participants.
After the activities, Dr. Banaag explained what self-esteem is. She emphasized that it comes from parental messages, cultural/societal messages, and media. She also explained the characteristics of a person with low self-esteem and high self-esteem. The session ended with a discussion on how to enhance self-esteem.
