Cavite State University (CvSU) Don Severino de las Alas Campus is set to hold a webinar series cum orientation titled International Webinar Series on CHED RDE Program HECTOR (Higher Education Cooperation towards Transnational education Open Resource) from October to November 2021 via Zoom. This is a kick off activity of the HECTOR Program under its Project 3, capacity building on internationalization and transnational education (TNE) and Project 4, promotion and advocacy of TNE.
This online orientation cum workshop will gather the pool of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines with TNE offerings, member HEIs under CHED-British Council-JDNP and other interested HEIs. Further, the webinar series aims to introduce and launch the CHED Funded RDE Program HECTOR to various HEIs, establish linkages, collaborations and cooperation with stakeholders of various HEIs in the Philippines, provide capacity building on internationalization and TNE among the different HEIs in the country, encourage HEIs to use and access the developed HECTOR system which will serve as the one-stop-shop information hub for all TNE and Internationalization operations in the country, and provide a platform for sharing of ideas, new knowledge, experiences and best practices on TNE and internationalization of Philippine HEIs.
Dr. Rhodora S. Crizaldo, principal investigator and program manager expects that this virtual workshop on the use of HECTOR system and webinar series will serve as an avenue for HEIs in the Philippines to discover more ways of promoting and advocating TNE across the globe and reshaping the international education sector towards resiliency and sustainability.
Invited speakers are from CHED, British Council, Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Philippines (COCOPEA), University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, De La Salle University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, among others.
