The Main Campus ends the 1st quarter of 2022 with 6 visits from different universities in Luzon. These visitations intend to benchmark the practices of the University in the fields of agriculture, information, and communication technology (ICT), veterinary medicine, and administrative and academic operations. They also discussed future collaborations and probable partnerships with the University.

As the institution prides itself in the field of agriculture and coffee production, Cagayan State University (CSU), New Era University (NEU), and Isabela State University (ISU) benchmarked on CvSU’s best practices in the said fields.

The CSU Café Valena Team visited the Main Campus to attend a four-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on Coffee Production and Processing cum Strategic Planning Workshop. As part of their vision of becoming the “Coffee Center of the North”. The team was provided with technical assistance by National Coffee Research, Development, and Extension Center (NCRDEC) to restore their coffee production sites and other recommended interventions.

The ISU also explored the possibility of collaborating with the National Coffee Research, Development, and Extension Center (NCRDEC) so they can launch a coffee center in their place while the NEU-Rizal College of Agriculture visited the University Library, Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research, Development and Extension Consortium (STAARRDEC), and College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources (CAFENR). They also toured the CvSU Agri-Ecotourism Park.

Officials from Bicol University benchmarked at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in line with their plan to establish a College of Veterinary Medicine in their university while employees of the Information and Communication Technology Center of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) benchmarked in CvSU’s systems in managing the computer/ ICT center in the campus.

Finally, officials from Romblon State University (RSU) were sent to CvSU to gain fresh ideas for the strategic institutional developments of the former in terms of academic, administrative, and research operations. (CMGRafols)
