The university’s GAD Resource Center conducted a Graphic Novel Making Contest in conjunction with the Anti-Human Trafficking in Person Campaign from April to June 2022. The activity aimed to raise participants’ and readers’ awareness and knowledge of the issue of human trafficking by assisting them in understanding the realities of human trafficking, risk factors and vulnerabilities associated with human trafficking, online sexual exploitation of children, and many more.

The ten entries received by the GADRC were judged based on relevance to the theme (40%), originality (30%), creativity (15%), and design and composition (15%).

The winners were announced during the seminar-workshop on GEDSI Mainstreaming of the Administrative Council at Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel in Lucban, Quezon and the awarding of winners were conducted during the 2nd Technical Working Group Meeting of the GADRC.

Receiving the third place award were Mr. Mayk Rafael B. Panganiban, Ms. Katherine Anne Albay, and Ms. Shaina Vigonte of Carmona Campus with a novel titled “Yumi”; second place award were received by Mr. Aldrian Barias, Mr. Rae Niño Pelagia, Mr. Carl Andrei Alquero, Ms. Rafaela Janna Babaran, and Ms. Rickie Cathleen Javier of Imus Campus with a novel titled “Kahon”; and the first place award were received by Mr. Edward Emmanuel Tanjuan, Mr. James Alancado, and Ms. Melchie Jane R. Dacillo of Bacoor Campus with a novel titled “Sex-Trafficking”. (MCPSioco)
