The Department of the Interior and Local Government – Local Government Academy (DILG-LGA) awarded Cavite State University the NextGen CapDev Accelerator Award in Local Governance at the Capacity Development (CapDev) Accelerator Awards: DILG’s Gabi ng Parangal 2022 held at the Manila Hotel on 13 December.

The university was nominated by DILG IV-A to the national level from among its regional partners in recognition of the various partnership programs and projects such as CapDev Analysis Project, S.A.F.E.R. (Strengthened Alliance on Fight against Illegal Drugs and Terrorism) program, B.A.T.A.S. (Barangay Aktibo Tungo sa Alternatibong Solusyon) project, disaster risk reduction and management-related capacity development, Seal of Good Local Governance validation assessment, Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS), Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Peace and Order Council, Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards, and Local Governance Resource Center, among others, of which the College of Criminal Justice, College of Economics, Management and Development Studies, College of Arts and Sciences, Extension Services and other major units are in the forefront.

The said award, received by Dr. Famela Iza C. Matic on behalf of Dr. Hernando D. Robles, is one of the proofs of CvSU’s ardent commitment toward good local governance through different research and extension projects, and technical services with DILG (local, provincial, regional and national) throughout the years.

 

“The NextGen CapDev Accelerator Award in Local Governance is given to an existing partner of the DILG that currently implements a program or project, with duration of at least 2 years, that addresses the capacity needs of the LGUs under the full devolution setup.”

Likewise, the Agricultural Training Institute – Region IV-A (ATI-CALABARZON) also gave recognition to CvSU as “Kaagapay na Pambansang Unibersidad” and “Pinaka-aktibong Kaagapay na Pambansang Ahensya” for the National Coffee, Research, Development, and Extension Center during the “ATIng Parangal” held on 12 December at Brgy. Lapidario, Trece Martires City, Cavite.The said awards acknowledged the efforts of CvSU in supporting their and extension programs.
