Celebrating its 117 years of foundation and 25 years of existence as a university, Cavite State University executed a weeklong celebration from March 20 to 24, 2023 recollecting its humble beginnings, recognizing the men and women behind its accomplishments, and appreciating partners that have supported the university in its journey.
Bearing the theme “SHINE CvSU: Tiwala at Malasakit sa Isa’t-Isa para sa mas Maningning na CvSU”, the University kickstarted its weeklong celebration on 20 March 2023 with a Welcome Street Dance performed by CvSU students.
A wreath-laying and flower-offering ceremony at the statue of the late Don Severino Delas Alas was also held and graced by his heirs with the CvSU executive and administrative council members.
University President Hernando D. Robles quoted in his opening remarks to remember the contribution of Don Binoy in education and government sectors and that the ceremony is an expression of thanksgiving and remembrance of his notable contribution to the university and the community.
The wreath laying was followed by an ecumenical thanksgiving service held at CvSU International Convention Center and an opening ceremony that signals the official start of the weeklong celebration.
