The Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac, was conferred with the 2022 National Achievement Award in the Veterinary Medicine Division by the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) on 10 March 2023.
The awarding was held during the 2023 NRCP Annual Scientific Conference and 90th General Membership Assembly at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City on 10-11 March 2023 with the theme “Science and Governance: Shaping Policies Towards a VUCAD2 (Visionary, Understandable, Clear, Agile, Digital, Diverse) Future”.
With Dr. Talactac were CvSU faculty members who also attended the said conference/assembly composed of Dr. Jonathan R. Digma, Dr. Agnes B. Alimboyuguen, Dr. Jerico B. Tadeo, Prof. Lawrence D. Mendoza, and Mr. Kenneth J. Enrico.
NRCP also bestowed the 2022 NRCP Member Emeritus Award and 2022 Outstanding Institution Award to deserving professionals and institutions in the awarding ceremony.
As an attached agency to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), NRCP acknowledges associate and regular members composed of researchers, scientists, engineers, and technologists in all fields of science, including the social sciences and humanities, and its awards are based on the evaluation of the productivity and quality of scholarly work done for the country and are meant to inspire excellence among young academics, researchers, artists, and scientists in their chosen fields.
