After a series of consultative meetings and arduous presentation to authorities and stakeholders, the College of Nursing formally conducted the gradual reopening of limited face-to-face, Monday of February 28, 2022.
First to participate in the in-person classes are eleven (11) Level 4 Bachelor of Science in Nursing students for their one-week Intensive Nursing Practicum focusing on school nursing under the supervision of their Clinical Instructor Prof. Ivan Derek V. Wycoco, MAN, RN.
Next in line for the hands-on training and laboratory classes are the Medical Technology Level 3 and Midwifery students Level 2. Minimum health protocols such as handwashing, guidance on mask use, importance of vaccination and airflow system are observed and signages are posted in conspicuous areas to constantly remind employees, staff and students on the COVID-19 awareness and prevention.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) inspection team headed by Dr. Judith Mary Ann Chan, Education Supervisor II of CHED IV-A together with Department of Health and the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), Department of Labor and Employment and Local Government of Indang, Cavite have conducted on-site visit to the university on November 24, 2021.
Certificate of Authority to reopen campus for the conduct of limited face-to-face classes for Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Midwifery/Diploma in Midwifery Programs was granted to Cavite State University, under Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001, effective December 6, 2021 until first semester of Academic Year 2022-2023.
