Cavite State University (CvSU) joined other member institutions of the Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic, and Resources Research Development and Extension Consortium (STAARRDEC) during the 1st Regional Research and Innovation Week (RRIW) held at the D.L. Umali Hall, University of the Philippines Los Baños, October 23-26.

With the theme, “Catalyzing Regional Advancement through Research and Innovation,” research and development, technology transfer, ICT, and science communication representatives of the consortium member institutions showcased their products, technologies, and research and development projects through the 36th Regional Symposium on Research, Development, and Extension Highlights; 2nd Student Congress; 1st Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Summit; and Technology Expo.

CvSU President and STAARDEC Regional Research and Development Coordinating Council Chairperson Dr. Hernando D. Robles delivered his opening message for the week-long celebration.

The 1st RRIW aims to promote research and innovation culture, disseminate knowledge, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, create networking opportunities, inspire and motivate various stakeholders, engage with the public, showcase impact of Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) endeavors, gather feedback for improvement, attract funding and support, and celebrate achievement.
