The Cavite State University (CvSU) community gathered to show their support to the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) with the 2024 theme “VAW Bigyang-Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!”

The Cavite State University’s Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) successfully conducted a transformative event titled “Transforming Breast Cancer Awareness to the Foreground with Inclusive Initiatives” on October 14, 2024, via Zoom video conferencing and Facebook Live.

This online gathering brought together voices from healthcare, advocacy, and academia to foster a more inclusive and compassionate approach to breast cancer awareness.

Cavite State University (CvSU) will hold the 3rd International Research Conference on Gender and Criminal Justice, December 10-12, 2024, at the CvSU International Convention Center in Indang, Cavite. 

Cavite State University (CvSU), through its Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC), organized a two-day workshop titled “Gender Lens in Academia—Harmonizing Research and Extension Practices” on October 7-8, 2024, at the Technology Demonstration Farm in Indang, Cavite.

In pursuit of continuous learning and improvement in institutional systems and programs, Mindanao State University (MSU) conducted a benchmarking visit to Cavite State University’s Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) on September 10, 2024.

To advance gender equity in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Cavite State University (CvSU), through its Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC), in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension (OVPRE), successfully conducted the 9th Gender and Development (GAD) Research Conference with the theme “Future-Forward Gender Equity: Shaping Opportunities and Challenges Together” on September 3, 2024, at the International Convention (ICON) Center, CvSU, Indang, Cavite as part of the Futures Thinking Week Research Symposium.

This as the Philippines’ men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball national teams, Pilipinas Warriors and Lady Warriors, showcased their grit and power in the hard court during Cavite State University’s (CvSU) exhibition game dubbed “Wheel Power: The Basketball Battle” held on July 30, 2024 at the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) Animo Center in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Raising the flag of different shades and hues of rainbow in celebration of this year’s Pride Month, the Cavite State University, through its Gender and Development Resource Center, conducted a webinar titled “Empowering LGBTQIA+ Individuals with Knowledge on Sexual Health and Safety” held on June 27, 2024, 8:00 am onwards via Facebook Live.

In celebration of the Child Labor Day or World Day Against Child Labor on June 12, 2024, Cavite State University (CvSU), through the Gender and Development Resource Center, conducted a webinar entitled, “Child Labor – Makabahagi, Makiisa para sa Batang Malaya” held on June 11, 2024, via video conferencing and Facebook live.

With the continuous commitment and efforts of the university to mainstream and localize gender and development, the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) in collaboration with Cavite State University’s (CvSU) Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) conducted a training for Trainers on Gender and Development on June 5-7, 2024, at Elijah Hotel, Brgy. Salawag, Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) of Cavite State University (CvSU) conducted a webinar on May 08, 2024, via Zoom and Facebook Live, focusing on the theme “Inay, Espesyal ka! Empowering Motherhood: Ensuring Safe and Inclusive Maternal Health.”

The Women’s Month Celebration has since served as a venue to highlight women’s achievements, and discuss continuing and emerging women’s empowerment and gender equality issues, concerns, challenges, and commitments.

The University’s Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) successfully conducted a comprehensive two-day Training Workshop on Case Management Victims of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) on February 28-29, 2024, at the Veranda, Hostel Tropicana, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite.

To gain a deeper understanding of the legal frameworks surrounding safe spaces, the university’s Gender and Development Resource Center organized a dynamic webinar on the legal dimensions of creating safe spaces through the Safe Spaces Act R.A. No. 11313 and CSC MC No. 11, series 2021, Introducing Amendments to the Administrative Disciplinary Rules on Sexual Harassment Cases on November 29, 2023, via Zoom video conferencing and Facebook Live.
